Connect Kibora to Claude
Use Claude with your Kibora food diary to review recent meals, understand eating patterns, get dinner suggestions, and log food through a conversation.
Before you connect
You need a Kibora account you can sign in to and access to custom connectors in Claude. If you use a managed Claude workspace, your administrator may need to enable the connector first.
Food analysis also requires available Kibora AI access or a supported custom AI provider configured in Kibora. Questions about your history need saved records.
Add the connector
- Open Claude and go to Customize → Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector.
- Enter Kibora as the name and
https://my.kibora.app/mcpas the server URL, then continue. - Under Authentication, select Sign in now.
- Under OAuth client, select Register automatically. Leave client credentials and additional request headers empty.
- Finish adding the connector and follow the prompts to connect.
- Sign in to Kibora, review the requested permissions, and approve the access you want to grant.
- Return to Claude and enable Kibora in the conversation’s connector or tools menu.
Kibora uses OAuth with automatic client registration. You do not need to create an OAuth client or copy an API key into Claude.
Try these prompts
- What does Kibora suggest for dinner tonight?
- Show me the eating patterns in my recent Kibora meal history.
- Today for lunch I had grilled chicken, rice, and vegetables, log it
Review nutrition estimates and proposed changes before saving. If you want to see a draft first, include “Show me before saving” in your request.
Try it with sample data
To explore without using your own food history, choose Try Kibora demo on Kibora’s authorization sign-in page. The demo uses sample data and does not require a username or password.
If Kibora is already signed in to your personal account, sign out of Kibora or start in a fresh browser session before beginning the demo connection.
Permissions and your data
You choose which permissions to grant when connecting:
Read: Access your meal history, favorites, nutrition targets, fasting records, measurements, and relevant profile information.
Write: Create meal and measurement entries and start or end a fast.
Analyze: Analyze food text or an image to produce a draft nutrition estimate. Analysis does not save the meal automatically.
When Claude retrieves your Kibora records, the returned information is shared with that service. Food analysis may also send your input and necessary context to the AI provider configured for your Kibora account.
Meal history, weight, fasting records, and similar account-linked information can reveal health-related details. Review the consent screen before connecting and only approve the access you want to grant.
Kibora’s Privacy Policy explains its data handling. The connected assistant’s own policies and account settings also apply.
Kibora provides nutrition tracking and general wellness insights. Food estimates are approximate and are not medical advice.
Troubleshooting
Claude cannot connect
Check that the server URL is exactly https://my.kibora.app/mcp. Use Sign in now and Register automatically. Complete the Kibora authorization flow and return to Claude.
Opening the MCP URL directly in a browser may show an authentication error. That endpoint is for the connector, not a normal sign-in page.
Kibora is connected, but Claude cannot use it
Enable Kibora for the current conversation. If the connection has expired or was revoked, reconnect and review the permissions again.
A tool or result is missing
Some actions depend on the permissions you approved and the features available in your Kibora account. Historical questions also depend on having relevant records. Food analysis may be unavailable when your configured AI access has no remaining quota.
Disconnect Kibora
Remove or disconnect Kibora from Claude’s connector settings. To revoke access from Kibora as well, open Kibora’s settings and use the MCP connection controls.
Disconnecting the connector does not delete your Kibora food diary or records already included in a Claude conversation.
